Sean Sodeman is a medical student in his final clerkship before graduation who forms a bond with a patient he helped, Mr. Gladstone. His boss, Dr. Gabrielle Gabehart, is okay with it, but the boss’s boss (also the boss’s abusive husband), Dr. Plunkett, makes it his mission to ruin Sean's potential career. Sean doesn’t try to fight it, but when he accepts his fate his time at this hospital finishing his medical school becomes the most challenging, inspiring, and life changing as he makes the most out of his last days in medical school.
